Mrs. Tracy Lewis has been acknowledged as a Next Generation Personal Finance Distinguished Educator. Mrs. Lewis has been taking courses to better her banking classes. She went from a freshman to a senior in one year and passed her examination to be fully certified in personal finance. OHS is very proud of her hard work and dedication to the program.
Three Ozark High School seniors started a community service project called "Adopt A Classroom", in which community members teach younger grades about being a good citizen through talks and activities. The first Adopt-A-Classroom event was at the Ozark Kindergarten Center on October 31st and was focused on being a healthy citizen. Pictured here are some of the kindergarteners who took part in this event, with OHS senior Aliyah Elmore and guest speaker Coach Cody Bullard. Stone Faulkenberry and Brad Johnson were also featured speakers, with OHS seniors Anna Woolsey and Zoey Tedford also helping out.
OHS Attends Skilled Trade Expo
Students from our junior and senior class attended the River Valley Skilled Trade Expo at Russellville High School on Thursday.
Our students make excellent connections with River Valley employers and the military and were able to see the wide variety of skilled trade employers available.
Our students were complimented on their manners and their engagement. Parents and guardians, you should be proud!
OHS senior, Jordan Cross, pushed out 51 push-ups while wearing a weighted vest that weighed about 30 pounds. This was the most push ups completed by a student to date at the two day expo.
If you can see it, you can be it.
