On August 23, concurrent college history classes heard from archaeologist Dr. Tim Mulvihill about the detailed history of Arkansas and the Americas. Dr. Mulvihill brought many archaeologist artifacts for students to see, and students were able to hold items that were incredibly old. Pictured is Dr. Mulvihill with some of the students who participated in this presentation.

Seniors, remember the ACT when making your back-to-school shopping plans!
Seniors only have three more ACTs to help them qualify for academic scholarships at MANY colleges and universities in Arkansas.
Many colleges and universities in Arkansas have a final scholarship deadline in February, so seniors can only take the following tests to meet these deadlines.
• September
• October
• December
The February and April ACTs are helpful for making a qualifying score on the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship.
What are you waiting for?!? Register today!
Registration can be completed at act.org. The registration deadline for the September ACT is August 4.
If you think you are eligible for an ACT waiver, please email Mrs. Dean, OHS Career Coach, at melanie.dean@ozarkhillbillies.org.

The Smiles Say It All
OHS seniors toured Cass Job Corp and learned more about skilled trades and the campus. On a beautiful spring day, they tried a heavy equipment operating simulator and sampled red bud jelly. One even found his favorite piece of heavy equipment.
